Mark & Julie's Wedding

Ever since I met Mark and Julie I'd been soooo looking forward to their wedding. Something about how fun and laid back they were, and how much they seemed to trust me, told me it was going to be such a fun day, and I was absolutely right!
We're starting at the cottages at the wonderful Packington Moor Farm, where Julie and her bridesmaid Hazel got ready.

We took some wonderful portraits of Mark and Julie as husband and wife. I'm telling you, I could've spent a week with these two lovely people! I'm hoping to get them dressed up again for some more cool shots soon.
Now I've been wanting for a while to add a little bit of "grrrrr" to wedding photography. What do you think? Good idea?
Can't thank you two enough for giving me a place at a table and letting me share the celebration with your lovely families. Here we are kicking off the speeches...
And heading back outside in the post-dinner lull for a couple more dusky shots!

Gary & Claire's Wedding

Gary and Claire weren't going to have a photographer at first, until Gary's brother Jason found me at short notice and I'm so thrilled we arranged something for their lovely wedding. Their families were lots of fun, and in the short time I spent with them I had such a blast. And yup, that huge indoor group photo took a bit of organising, and a bit of lighting!

Jonathan and Angela's Wedding

Jonathan and Angela's wedding took place in the prestigious Highbury hall. I'd been wanting so much to shoot a wedding here, as it's a wonderful venue, with wood panelling, period decor and great grounds outdoors. We started in the positively palacial suite with Angela and the girls, enjoyed drinks on the lawn, and snuck the happy couple off for a few pictures too.
I can't really explain Jonathan's best man and the bananas, you really had to be there!

Paul & Lisa's Wedding

In September I photographed the beautiful wedding of Paul and Lisa. I'd been waiting for YEARS to see what I always knew would be a wonderful day, and I was not disappointed! Paul and Lisa are lovely people and all their family were so very kind and welcoming. Their reception was so much fun, partly because it was held in the field near their home, where they'd set up a marquee with a lovely courtyard and it's very own bucking-bull ride.
And yes, I did :-)

Dan and Marie's Wedding

I've actually still got seven weddings left to blog from last year! Sorry about that! Here's the first, Dan and Marie's wedding in August.
It was a busy morning squeezing into a hotel room with something like ten girls and their pairs of ghd's heating up the place, but somehow it worked. I've never seen teamwork like it I have to say! Marie was an absolute stunner, and so much fun.
The wedding was in Dudley, and the reception at the Village hotel.
My new assistant I reckon. Camera skills like mine!

My Secret Weapon

Last weekend I was once again exhibiting at the national wedding show. I spent three days talking to SO MANY brides that I've now lost my voice!
Probably the last outing for this stand design, I want to add some cool new things for next time around in October.
Here's an engaged couple being shown through some wedding albums by my friend and oh-so-talented superstar, Jodie. Last year I gave out 650 brochures at the show, which I thought was a lot. This year Jodie got through 2,600! That's um... all of them?! She's my secret weapon.
After a while, late on Sunday afternoon we got bored and decided to take some photographs. So we stole a dress from the lovely ladies at Grace Couture. It wasn't easy I should say, their stand was buzzing all weekend long with girls trying on their gorgeous dresses. It was hard for us to sneak Jodie's favourite out without them noticing. ;-)
And first we headed to our neighbours, DJ's Inc. who have the most awesome colour changing LED dance floor. It's so retro disco, if you're having a dance floor you've GOT to check this one out. Call Phil and his team on 02476 730 148. They're also great DJ's, by the way!

And then we found Paul from High Roller London who let us play with his lovely Rolls Royce Phantom.

National Wedding Show and a new website

The new website is ready just in time for the masses of visitors from the national wedding show THIS WEEKEND!
There are a few more pages and things to come, but the new site is wider, cooler, and will cover portrait and event and other photography as well.
Be sure to check out my updated weddings portfolio. I've just filled it with five recent weddings and I'm very proud!
If you're coming to the NEC this weekend, do come and see me and my glamourous assistant Jodie on stand A15, just to your right in the main entrance.
