Lee and Hannah's Wedding
Added Tuesday 25th November 2008
Lee and Hannah were married at one of my favourite churches, St. Lukes in Duston on the 8th of November.

Isn't it nice how shiny new wedding rings are?

Can't seem to resist a Tarantino monent!

Here's Lee, and Hannah's beautiful bridesmaids, Laura, Shona, Jessica, Emily and Mia.

Shona's laughing at something. Maybe I'm about to crash into the organist, behind me?

Have you ever thought about the way one candle lights another? It does so without losing any of it's own original intensity as a result.
This occured to me last year when, having reason to wait around in Peterborough for a few hours with a lot on my mind, I stopped off at the cathedral. I slotted 20p in the black metal box, took a small red candle, and lit it from another, thinking about the continuous, deafening stream of silent thoughts and prayers that God is listening to every moment. As I got up to leave, it was all I could do not to blub, when I saw a young family light their own little red candle - from the one that I had placed there myself fifteen minutes earlier.

By combining their individual lights, and giving freely of their love to each other, Lee and Hannah's light - and love - is all the brighter. I believe a married couple is far far more than the sum of it's parts, and I wish these two every happiness in the world.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to St. Crispin's Social Club, just down the road. Apparently, this was the very place that Lee and Hannah met. So it's a fitting place to celebrate their marriage together.

Too good to be true
Added Tuesday 18th November 2008

Have you ever experienced something so great you had to pinch yourself, just to make sure? I guess that's what Charlotte did when James offered her a diamond ring on Christmas Day, because she had to check which finger he wanted her to put it on.

It's what she felt when she first saw Penshurst Place. A wedding venue so special that it makes her feel like a princess.

And let's be honest, it's what Richard thinks, as he walks round such a veune, photographing a couple as sweet, romantic and downright attractive as James and Charlotte!

I'd be thrilled to bits anyway, to shoot such a lovely couple as this on their wedding day. But to do it here? There are so many little gardens and great spot for photos, and it's going to look fab in April. The hard part will be not taking too many! And with all that Charlotte is planning, it's going to be an amazing day.

Move update:
I'd like to thank everyone for your support and patience whilst I move my office and home up to Solihull. As of now, please direct any post to 19 Broadfern Road, Solihull, B93 9DE. The phone number is still 0845 680 0043, it's a local rate, but usually chargeable to mobiles, so feel free to use 07817 002115 if you have free minutes. If you still have the 01604 number, or the Oleander Crescent address, please don't use these now!
If you're a customer based in Northampton, please don't panic! I'm shooting weddings all over the country now, still have a base in Northampton, not to mention a killer network of wedding professionals and a reputation here which I'm not giving up! I'm moving to be closer to Birmingham, closer to family, and generally moving on.
For those of you close to Solihull, take pity on the new guy? Tell me where to hang out, and what to do!! Any tips? I'm so excited to live in the place I've known for so many years.

Engagement Shoots
Added Monday 3rd November 2008
It's been a really busy couple of weeks for engagement shoots, and meeting up with brides and grooms to talk weddings! We've had some nippy weather too, so serious kudos to these cool couples for braving the elements with me. I think it really shows their desire to get great images for their weddings.
Lee and Hannah

Lee and Hannah are to be married soon at St. Lukes in Duston. It's one of my favourite churches to photograph, and I'm really looking forward to getting some great images in and around the church.

Lee and Hannah are lots of fun, and I know they're going to thoroughly enjoy their wedding celebrations!

Andy and Sarah

Andy and Sarah are such good freinds of mine, and I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to photograph their exciting winter wedding in December. We stopped off at the Northampton Golf Club, where they will hold their wedding reception, to talk details!

Sarah's the best kind of friend you could hope for. I sincerely hope you get the chance to meet her some day! In Andy, she's found a wonderful partner. It's been great to get to know him lately, and I can't wait for the stag do next weekend!!

Alex and Grace
Alex and Grace will be married on the 20th of December. In fact, it's my last wedding of the year! They've booked the ultra fabulous Nuthurst Grange for their reception.

Alex and Grace are such naturals in front of the camera. They just relax and 'hang out' while I bustle about taking pictures. Grace even picked out a lovely spot with a bench overlooking the tremendous view from the hotel's hellipad!
I just loved this crumbly old greenhouse we found in the grounds though. I hope we get the chance on the day to put Grace by it, maybe even in it??

Tom and Anita
Tom and Anita are to be married at Our Lady of the Angels in Nuneaton, with their wedding reception at Sketchley Grange.

We met at the church yesterday, on a cold, windy and soggy Sunday. I couldn't believe how chic these two manage to look even in tough conditions! Tom and Anita are lovely - such a sweet couple, and I can't wait to watch them tie the knot!
