I distinctly remember the first time I ever went to Dodmoor House in 2006 to have a look around, before the first wedding I photographed there in 2007. Mark and Louise – who are lovely people – had just finished building and refurbishing work and were working through their first year of weddings.
Over the past 10 years it’s been a joy to photograph so many happy occasions at Dodmoor and to get to know the team there. Mark and Louise now have a small group of elite wedding coordinators who look after brides and grooms, guests and even photographers so well. They really are deserving of the many industry awards they’ve been given.
So it was lovely to be invited to celebrate their 10 year anniversary party on Sunday. Dodmoor is a family business and there were family there, as well as suppliers and some happily married couples from recent years. All enjoying a drink, a hog roast and gorgeous desserts to the beautiful sound of our friends Ariella Strings.
The evening raised loads of money too for the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation (the other WWWF) which is a very worthy charity I’m hoping to be involved with soon.
