Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

After 18 years photographing the most glorious weddings for the most beautiful of couples I’m excited to say I’m starting something new. I have loved being a part of so many of life’s magical moments for you and honestly I really could have gone on forever. But we live long lives and have multiple passions. It’s time for me to pursue my next. Believe me, it’s hard work but totally worth it.

I will always be a photographer, whatever I get up to. And I DO like champagne and wedding cake. But for the time being I won’t be taking any more bookings from 2022.

Thank you to all who have made us a small part of your big story. Look me up, keep in touch!

Yours in f2.8, 1/125th and ISO1600... Richard

A Greek Orthodox Wedding at St. Lukes Erdington for Michael and Alexia

I have a rather beautiful wedding from the beginning of the year to show you. Michael and Alexia were married in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony at Holy Trinity & St Luke’s church in Erdington. It’s an incredible venue which I’m told was only opened in the 1990’s but looks like it’s been there forever. The brightly decorated walls and ceiling and elaborate adornments quite take your breath away when you first enter. It’s fun to see a ceremony so different from what you’re used to, and to understand the symbolism even if you don’t understand the language!

I loved Alexia’s passionate and beautiful family, and Michael is a charming and warm man. Together they created a wonderful atmosphere and celebrated in style at my home from home, Hampton Manor. Michael and Alexia’s family are big dancers and they had an amazing evening, complete with sparklers and a teepee campfire for marshmallows. Να ζήσετε to the bride and groom. And Και στα δικά σου to anyone planning their own!

National Wedding Show Autumn 2019 at the NEC

Exciting news, we’re now going to be exhibiting at the National Wedding Show in both Spring and Autumn at the NEC. It’s a long and busy weekend, but we get to meet so many new brides and grooms it’s all worthwhile. So if you’re free on the 27th, 28th or 29th of September, come and see us at stand G26.

By the way, if you’d “love” some free tickets just send us an email. We have a few pairs left to give away.

Nathan & Katie’s Wedding at Albright Hussey

Some photos from a very special wedding this year. Nathan and Katie were married in the blazing sunshine in the gardens of Albright Hussey, a lovely old country hotel in Shrewsbury. The guests enjoyed cool drinks and mingled in the perfectly manicured grounds, and watched this happy couple make their vows, interrupted only by the sound of horses in the field next door saying hello.

Katie’s dress was absolutely stunning and I know Nathan was amazed as we all were by how beautiful she looked. It was great to be able to get back outside after dinner for some more portraits in the golden hour.

We also produced a highlights video which I’m proud to show on our video page too. Take a look!

Josh & Charlotte’s Mythe Barn Wedding Video

Such a pleasure to photograph Josh and Charlotte’s wedding last month at one of our favourite venues, Mythe Barn. They opted for the highlights video alongside their photographs, and I’m so glad they did. It came out beautifully. Charlotte had planned some beautiful details, especially the most gorgeous flowers. And they had the best day with all their families. Thank you for having us take your photos, and for letting us share your video with everyone!

Pete & Becky’s Wedding at Gorcott Hall

I loved working with Pete and Becky. Like me they’re cub scout leaders, so they’re used to planning things, and making crafty things too. We had a lot in common – although I’m jealous that unlike me Pete can drive a tractor. So he did!

Gorcott hall is a lovely private house and garden for a fun and intimate wedding. Becky got ready in the bridal suite while guests arrived below and sipped champagne in the gardens to live music afterwards. They had so many personal and home made touches, including real badges to sew on your camp blanket. So very cool.
