Something different

First of all, let me say that I'm a little different from your average portrait photographer! I've been a people photographer for years, and I've noticed a few things: 1. Everybody takes photos. 2. Everybody loves a great photo. 3. Nobody loves posing for photos (if you do, it's a bonus!) 4. The photos people do like, the ones they want prints of, put on the wall, facebook, etc. are the fun ones. The smiley shots. You may or may not know the photo is being taken, but if you look happy or content in it, it will be a success.

The problem with your average family photo is it takes just a little too long, the smiles fade, and just when you think it's done, you hear "Oh no, I had it on landscape!" So a professional photographer will work fast and produce lots of choice and rich, colourful, sharp pictures. If only you could have a professional photographer in your family...

...well, for a few hours, you can.

The freestyle shoot, at home or on location - £25

If you're interested in capturing real lifestyle photos at home or a place you love, like the park, a historic building or a local attraction, I can come to you and produce fun, lively photographs of everyone. I can set up a portable backdrop and lighting in your home for formal portraits, or take a walk with just one backpack, taking photographs as we go. Price includes travel up to around ten miles from Solihull.

The studio shoot, and the BIG white room - £65

For some really special family portraits, sometimes we just have to take it inside! In the studio we can produce oh-so-flattering light, and photograph you all on our big white backdrop. One of the nice things about these shots is that they are a kind of 'neutral space', where the people and their interactions become the only subject of the photos. Feel free to bring any props, outfits or games to liven things up!

The professional touches

Let me know what you have in mind, and we'll come up with something specially for you! Hair and makeup artists can be brought in for your shoot to give you a completely glamourous, confident feeling. If you have a special shot, or a special project you want to achieve, give me a call and we'll talk about it. How it works

1. We have a chat about your shoot, and book a time and place - on location, or in the studio.
2. You pay the shoot fee on the day, and we take as many photos as you want. I'm never too worried about time, but always aim to be done in an hour or two.
3. Within a couple of weeks, your photos will be fully edited and retouched, and ready to view. If you're able to, I'll come and show you them at home, on a shiny macbook, and talk about any prints you may want to buy. I promise, it's a totally easy-going, no-pressure viewing. You actually don't have to buy anything! Our prices are a lot cheaper than some high-street chains we know!
4. We will complete and send you any prints you order, and leave your photos online in your own password-protected gallery to view and share. You can order further prints at any stage.

For gifts, we can offer all kinds of prints, frames and canvas options, as well as print credit, so the recipient can choose exactly what they want, or vouchers for their own photo-shoot, with or without included prints. If you hurry, we can even print your family Christmas cards with your photographs on the front!
