Wedding photography is my full time job. I’m proud of my work and the feedback I get from my customers. I’ll always treat you the way I would want to be treated. Good manners go a long way, like learning names and showing admiration for all the hard work you’ve put into your plans.
I’ve photographed over 300 weddings in every kind of venue, lighting and weather. I’ve climbed hills, paddled in the sea, crawled behind pews, driven golf buggies, jump started rolls-royces and hung out of windows to get the shot. Experience is valuable because wedding photography is varied and the day can be unpredictable. I adapt and work quickly to produce beautiful images with minimum fuss.
I get to know my customers as friends and go the extra mile for them. When you see your wedding through your album you should see it from the perspective of a close family member or a bridesmaid for example. Little extra touches show I’m genuinely interested in serving my customers.
I listen, taking care to understand what you need to have a great experience and be thrilled with the results. This insight allows me to give great, personal customer service.
I produce beautiful photographs every day, so I know for sure everything is going to be fine. You won’t see me panic or flap at your wedding. From our first meeting you’ll feel your memories are in very safe hands. You can relax - you’re going to feel and look amazing!
I’m honoured by the trust you place in me as your wedding photographer, and I work hard because I know just how important this day is to you. It's not just a day, it's a symbol of your relationship, which is the most important thing in the world. I only promise what I know for sure I can deliver.
The little things can help tell your story. The wedding date circled on Mum’s kitchen calendar, the tiny flower girl’s shoes beside the bride’s. You can see so much when you pay attention.
Helping everything run smoothly and making you feel like yours is the only wedding this year just takes organisation. I’m good at keeping track of details. And your priceless photographs are religiously backed up in multiple locations during and after the day for safety.
I use clever techniques to deal with tricky conditions or enhance the photographs where needed. But knowing when to keep things simple is just as important. I use the best professional equipment (and backup equipment) but I don’t fiddle with it. I shoot in manual mode, and the numbers are pretty much instinctive, so I can spend my real focus on you.
I can’t wait to help you celebrate your wedding! Good wedding photography is hard work, but also a joyful celebration and I love it. For the rest of your lives, the images we create will be a source of happiness and remind you of the strength of your love and commitment. Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m honoured to photograph yours.
“OMG Richard, thank you on behalf of my husband and I! You are the most amazing person, we think so much of you it’s unbelievable. We met on a business arrangement but I really do feel like I’ve gained a great friend and having you there yesterday I really did view you as a guest at our wedding.
Thank you so much, you coped so well with our disorganisation. Thank you doesn’t seem adequate but THANK-YOU so much! (PS future brides, you’ve already made the best decision for your wedding) xxxx all our love xxxx” - Louise-Marie & Stephen
