Richard and Louise’s Wedding at Ely Cathedral

Since I started photographing weddings in 2003 there have been a number of milestones along the way. Things I looked forward to or hoped to achieve. And having just left Cambridge at that time, I’d often wondered about photographing a wedding at Ely cathedral. I’m not sure if this was my first cathedral wedding. (Depends what you mean by a cathedral) but it was certainly the biggest church I’ve ever photographed a wedding in.

Richard and Louise are a wonderful couple who I’ve loved working with. I met Louise at the national wedding show where she was representing Richard Designs who sell beautiful bridal accessories. As a fellow wedding professional it’s been so nice to see them plan their wedding at Ely cathedral and share it with them. And I was thrilled to see she chose a dress to suit the grandeur of such a wonderful location.

After the ceremony we headed to the Quy Mill hotel in Cambridge for a lovely family reception. But I’ll leave you with a few favourites from the wedding itself.
